Joining Valley Bank has allowed me to play a pivotal role in reshaping the branding and messaging of a storied financial institution. I started at Valley as a Senior Copywriter where I led the messaging strategy for Valley's rebrand launch in 2018.
After the successful launch of the new Valley branding strategy, I pivoted to focus more on content creation and strategy. Part of that has been focusing on expanding content from basic digital articles to include videos, white papers, email journeys, and more. As a content strategist and creator, I believe content is the nervous system of the customer journey. It touches a customer in every aspect of the journey, guiding them awareness to conversion and then nurturing the relationship. |
Rebranding a 90+ year-old organizationNot long into my first year at Valley, I was given the opportunity take lead on the messaging strategy for Valley's rebranding strategy. Through research, numerous iterations, and a truly rewarding experience crafting a brands story -- from mission statement to voice -- it has played a major role in my passion for content marketing and branding.

My introduction into the financial services industry came when I joined their in-house creative agency as a copywriter. During my four years at Wells Fargo, I collaborated with a number of brilliant creatives and marketing strategists to bring to life a wide variety of campaigns.
This experience played an important role in helping me hone my craft as a copywriter, gain national exposure through major marketing initiatives, and taught me the importance of putting yourself in the customer's shoes. |

My marketing career began at BlueSpire Marketing. As an Associate Account Manager for a small marketing firm, I wore many hats, including that as copywriter. To this point my background had been in journalism and publishing. I never knew that I could make a career as a professional writer in the marketing space.
In my role, I worked with hospitals from all around the country, from California to North Carolina. I helped them develop and launch a variety of campaigns , including direct mail, email marketing, and advertorials. I served as a writer, editor and account manager. Collaborating with a talented design team, we brought a number of incredible campaigns to life in exciting and creative ways. |
Journalism |
Before I discovered a career in content strategy and marketing, I used my skills as a storyteller contributing as a freelance journalist. I wrote for local newspapers in the Philadelphia suburbs and Northern New Jersey. I wrote feature stories for local and regional sports magazine as well as regional consumer magazines.
One of my favorite stories was a feature I wrote for Inside Jersey magazine about a woman from Blairstown, New Jersey who raced in the Iditarod and had a passion for dogsledding and raising dogs. Read the feature story here. |
